Oyo Goes After Defaulters, Removing Illegal Billboards

Oyo State Government through the State Signage and Advertising Agency (OYSAA), has embarked on aggressive debt recovery exercise via removal of unauthorized and debtors billboards across the State.

The Director General of the Agency Hon. Temilola Segun Adibi gave the directive for the enforcement after the Management meeting of the Agency in his Office, Secretariat, Ibadan.

Adibi, a one-time member of the House of Representative and former Chairman of Ogbomosho North Local Government noted that prior to this time, the Agency has warned the Advertising Practitioners and other Stakeholders to regularize their unapproved billboards and pay their debts or forfeit them to the Agency.

Hon. Temilola Adibi maintained that OYSAA will not condone any illegal billboards on the street and the Agency would clampdown on any Advertising Practitioner who failed to comply with the rules and regulations of the Agency.

The Director of Operation Mr. Lawal Adesiyan during the enforcement exercise admonished the Advertising Practitioners and other Stakeholders to fulfill their financial obligations to the State Government by paying all their outstanding debts and remit it to OYSAA Office.

In her own contribution, the Director Finance and Account Mrs. Lydia Adedeji stated that this enforcement exercise would not going to be business as usual but business with decorum so as to boost the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the State.
